Exhibition "Sviaz-Expocomm-2004"

The largest International Exhibition for Telecommunications in Russia, "Sviaz-Expocomm" has maintained its efficiency and essential character by increasing its exhibit area and the number of participants in 2004. Nearly 870 enterprises were on display this year, covering the area of 27,000 sq.m., which ranks it at the level of "Expoxentre".
This year such companies as Golden Telecom, Rostelecom, VimpelCom and Svyazinvest and its subsidiaries were not exhibited among others. Thus, the chief newsmaker of the current exhibition was the group of companies "Sistema Telecom", which is a telecommunication branch of Joint-Stock Financial Corporation "Sistema". The total display area occupied by representative branches of "Sistema Telecom" made over 2,000 sq.m.
OPTEN company participates in the exhibition for the 9th time. The exposition booth displayed the main sample range of fiber-optic cables manufactured by our plant, as well as the new class of cables with optical fibers in tight buffer coating.
The minimum diameter and weight, the minimum operating bend radius, application of halogen free and flame-retardants predetermines the wide application of fiber-optic cables of the given class in installation of structured cabling systems and manufacture of patch cords and optical distribution frames. The cable manufacturing plant has developed the production of all main types of cables with optical fibers in tight buffer coating, including single-fiber microcables (900 ?m in diameter), cables for optical cords (3 mm in diameter), connection cords, etc. The latest international and Russian inventions in the area of fiber optics and cable polymer materials have been applied in the course of production engineering, which allowed providing the optimum correlation of price and quality of the produced cable items.
