Within the exhibition located on the area of 11 thousand square meters, more than 250 companies from Russia, inside and outside CIS countries demonstrated their state-of-the art equipment for traditional communication operators, solutions for Internet of new generation, most recent IP technologies, packaged network solutions for mobile infrastructures, technologies for corporate networks, voice and data communication technologies, whole range of new cellular communication products, wide range of electronic components, radio communication equipment for marine and river fleet of Russia, pay station equipment, software for communication operators, as well as latest advances in information and communication services.
The exhibition visitors were able directly to estimate quality of modern communication, take advantages of Internet access, participate in videoconferences, appraise development prospects of the domestic communication facilities market.
2003 will be the momentous year for St.Petersburg. The city being justly called capital of the North, cultural treasury of Russia, will celebrate its tercentenary. Today progressive business areas are widely developed in the city. One of these areas is information and communication technologies.
Opten plant was the only one fiber-optic cable manufacturer of North Western region exhibited.
