Control and testing of production

The high reliability of fiber-optic cables by Opten is achieved by strict adherence of performance specifications and detailed testing of all the product parameters.

The following types of tests are established for confirmance inspection of the cables to the requirements of TU 3587-009-48973982-2000 specifications:

1. Acceptance tests:

1.1. Measurement of fiber-optical characteristics;
1.2. Structural conformity tests;
1.3. Outer jacket electric resistance test, outer jacket leak test, voltage testing (for cables in metal armor);
1.4. Outer jacket resistance tests against electric current; Marking and packing test.

The acceptance test reports are provided for the customers together with product accompanying documentation.

2. Periodic tests:

2.1. Mechanical specifications test;
2.2. Environmental impact tests.
